About Mead Lumber Yard

Mead Lumber is a third generation family owned company located in the foothills of the Adirondacks. We have been in business since 1975. What started out as a home owner’s mill to keep the Barns on the family farm in repair has turned into a lucrative family business, specializing in long length Post and Beam Timbers and Log Home Cants. We have the capability to saw up to 40’ and Surface Timbers up to the sizes of 10 x 20 x 36. We are in the process of installing a new planer that will allow us to surface Beams 12 x 20 x 40.
